VIDEO: Puppy Dumped Outside RSPCA

A silver Renault auto is seen driving up to the gate before the driver leans across to open the back door and shoos the puppy to get out.

The driver then speeds off as the young Staffie bull terrier pup desperately tries to follow the vehicle.

It was only later, when RSPCA staff in Birmingham checked the CCTV, that they saw the incident in full.

RSPCA centre manager Elaine Buchan said: ‘It was really hard for staff to watch the CCTV and see this incident unfold and then watch as this driver just sped off leaving this puppy to fend for itself.

‘As she starts to follow the car your heart just breaks for her, she’s been dumped alone and left confused – just because someone doesn’t want her anymore. It is even more upsetting that this has been done just before Christmas.

‘Dumping them is not acceptable – pets are a lifelong commitment and people need to think  before getting a pet as animals have the right to be loved for life.’

The six-month-old pup has been named Tinsel and is currently being cared for at the centre. She is just one of many Staffie dogs who are abandoned daily
