Dog Friendly VW Campervan Hire, Did You Know That?

Dog Friendly VW Campervan Hire, Did You Know That?

As a family of dog lovers they realise that dogs are part of the family too! That’s why Fistral Bays VW Camper hire offers dog friendly accommodation in camper vans!

Cornwall has miles of glorious sandy beaches perfect for dog walking. Plus there are wonderful woods to explore and fantastic dog friendly pubs and restaurants.

They currently have four dog friendly campers, Hank, Betty, the Colonel and Jelly Bean. Hank is a great ride for your dog as he has rubber matting on the floor making it ideal for dusting off after a frolicking day at the beach.

Their dog friendly campers come with a dog welcome pack aka a ‘doggy bag’ containing  literature on the best dog friendly beaches, pubs, restaurants and attractions. There is also a welcome treat or two, the essential poo bags (after all its not pleasant using a carrier bag with holes in) plus they will lend you a ground spike to use at your campsite.

In addition to this they also have some essentials on hand, such as dog bowls and beds just in case you forget yours, but as most dog owners will know dogs can be fussy creatures and generally only like their own belongings.

Price 2013

Dogs are charged at £25 for week long or short breaks  and £15 for overnight hires. Please note this in NOT£25 / £15 per dog. This small charge covers all your dogs although they do not recommend you bring any more than 2 medium sized breeds or 1 large, or the humans may have to sleep outside!

Campers and dogs

Their own dogs are seasoned camper dogs and have been used to traveling round in our VW’s  from 4 month old. However, some dogs may take slightly longer to adjust. Generally most dogs sit at their owners feet whilst traveling in order to prevent them slipping and sliding on the laminate floors.

They do ask that dog owners bring throws and blankets to protect the camper and it’s upholstery from little paws and claws. Please note that any damage caused to the camper will be charged to the customer and deducted from your deposit.
