Do Staffordshire Bull Terriers Make Good Family Pets?

Staffordshire Bull Terriers have a reputation as a status symbol, so people cant imagine them as family pets – but this couldn’t be further from the truth.

A survey conducted showed that nearly 75% of people would definitely or probably not consider re homing a Staffie. However, 80 per cent of people acknowledged that the breed’s bad reputation was down to irresponsible owners, and not the dogs themselves.

A dog rescue spokesperson says that many of these lovely dogs immediately become overlooked because they have been given an unfair label. If they were in a ‘different costume’, would they be given more of a chance to show their true selves, more than likely is the answer?

People who don’t have any experience of Staffies are often wary of them, because of the bad reputation they have due to a small number of irresponsible owners. Once you get to know them you will soon be aware they can be fantastic, loving pets.”

These tricksters enjoy exercising and loving life!

Staffies can make great family pets
