Welcome to Cats prefur Home Cat Sitting Service – Est. 2011
The cat friendly alternative to a cattery! Taking care of your cat in the comfort of its own home while you’re away
Cats are very territorial and generally don’t handle stress very well, so why put your beloved pet through the trauma of removing them from the comfort of their own home every time you go away?
“Cats prefur Home” will take care of your cat in your home, taking the stress out of your and your cat’s life! Your pet can remain at home to enjoy their daily routine, favourite sleeping place, familiar safe, secure sights, sounds and smells of home. When you go away on your holidays or business trips you want to be able to relax knowing that your cat is in safe hands. A professional, competent cat sitter will enable you to do just that
At Cayton Carr Kennels and cattery we aim to provide a happy and secure boarding environment for your dogs and cats that we care for. Located in a pleasant countryside setting near Cayton Bay we serve Scarborough and all of the surrounding area and are only 10 minutes drive from Scarborough, Hummanby and Filey and close to the A64 if you are coming from inland. We are also in proximity of the holiday parks and campsites around Cayton Bay.
Our kennels are all individually heated, with both indoor and outside space. All of our canine guests are exercised twice a day, with fun and games, or country walks, whichever suits them.
Like the kennels all our chalets are all individually heated and in different sizes. Some are able to accomodate more than one cat.
Cat flaps are in each pen allowing your cat to enjoy the individual secure run.
Whether you need a dog sitter, cat sitter or any other type of pet sitter (including horses), we can help. We will live in your home and care for all your animals in their own surroundings, maintaining their normal routine.

Cat Sitting & Dog Sitting
Maybe you have an older dog for whom a walk is not appropriate, or perhaps you own a cat for whom a spell in a cattery is a confusing or stressful affair.
Home visits are no problem to us.
When you both work its often difficult to provide the right level of care especially for puppies. But we can help. Dog Days can agree with you a schedule of home visits that provides assurances for your self and your puppy.
Kennels are not the ideal places to leave your dog whilst you are away, we can arrange for your pet to be boarded in a loving caring home.
We offer a casual walking service or a regular dog walking service to take the pressure off your self and to keep your doggy fit and healthy.
Your cat is as important to us at Eastmead Boarding Cattery as and he / she is to you.
We provide luxury accommodation, your cat will be in the best possible care, so you can rest assured that your cat is being well looked after whilst you are on holiday or business.
Your cat must be fully vaccinated and your cats vaccination card must be produced on arrival.
Heated beds, quality bedding and toys are all provided, but please feel free to bring any cat items from home. This does help your cat to settle in. Grass exercise areas are available.
All cats are fully insured whilst with us.

JANETTA SMITH – BA(Hons) Psychology & Dip(CABT) – Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE)
Furry Little Monsters Pet Behaviour Counselling Service offers both experienced and qualified pet behaviour services for dogs & cats throughout Essex, Suffolk, Kent and London, as well as, by special arrangement, the rest of the United Kingdom.
My relevant qualifications, amongst others, include a BA(Hons) Degree in Human Psychology (1998), and Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour & Training (2002).
I am a qualified Pet Bereavement Counsellor, and have successfully completed a number of other animal/pet related training courses over the years, including an Animal First Aid Certificate.
I am a qualified Companion Animal Behaviour Therapist / Counsellor and Psychologist and have an expanse of experience in the treatment of behavioural problems in dogs and cats for over ten years now. My expertise not only includes coping and dealing with a number of my own rescue animals past and present, but professionally within my own full time practice with referrals since 2002, including working with a number of animal re-homing centres.
My passion as well as interest in studying the behaviour of animals (canine & feline) started many years ago, which since then has led me to a number of behind the scenes and hands on wildlife conservation experiences & educational and research trips.
I am also a recognised Associate Member of the COAPE Association of Animal Behaviour Practitioners, and am fully covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Problem behaviour is one of the main reasons behind pets being abandoned, re-homed or euthanased. Often the problem can be resolved or made more manageable through proper behavioural counselling and training modification. These behavioural problems can range from the most simple like house soiling, pulling on a lead to more serious problems like aggression, fear, separation anxiety and destructiveness to name but a few.
No matter what the problem is, it is important tha the owner understands why it has happened, and more importantly what can be done to prevent it from happeningagain. The causes must be directly dealt with to achieve complete success of eradication.
It is also very important to draw on the services of both a professional & a qualified behaviourist with experience, rather than seek short term advice, which is often inappropriate and problems wrongly diagnosed, from a variety of other sources and/or unqualified people. Therefore preventing any longer term more serious problems from occurring, and ensuring the animal lives both sociably and contently as part of the family.
